During your first consultation I will take a detailed account of your symptoms, past medical and family history, lifestyle and functioning of all the systems in your body such as digestion, sleep etc.
I'm not just looking for symptoms in isolation but rather a pattern into which is woven a total picture of your health. The first consultation lasts up to one and a half hours, and up to one hour should be allowed for subsequent treatments.
If there is an irregularity in the flow of energy in a pathway, physical and emotional symptoms can occur. I will assess the symptoms and your state of health in general by careful questioning and examination. The pulse will be taken at both wrists. There is a specific position on the radial artery that relates to each organ and it's associated energy pathway. The pulse is retaken after treatment to measure the result.
During treatment needles may be inserted for either a few seconds or left in place for longer, depending on the effect required. The needles are very fine and treatment is painless.
